• Concept of Conference
  • Bharat, where the ray of civilization first dawned upon is the country of boundless spirits and the profound thoughtfulness. The eternal thinking first revealed itself in full glory and the stream of Indian thoughts has flowed crossing over the obstacles of space and time and still flowing into other nations of globe. The great achievements and discoveries of ancient Bharatiya in the fields of science, mathematics, economics, language, culture, arts, music, architecture, mineralogy, surgery, astrology, ayurveda, yoga and philosophy enlightened the humanity across the world. The shiny glory of Bharat was wrapped over by the dark ages of slavery under invaders and colonial rule over the long period of time. As fire remains intact under cover of ashes, so ancestral fire still remains latent in modern Indians and it is the time to rejuvenate that internal intellect of Bharatiya. Swami Vivekanand pointed out Kathopanishad saying “Arise, awake and approach till the goal is achieved” to enthuse Bhartiya. To remove the ashes of ignorance of glory, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalya in association with Bhartiya Shiksha Mandal is organizing a three days International Conference of researchers and intellectuals to unravel various aspects of rejuvenation of Bharat.

It is the Bharat which recognizes the entire nature as a single entity and right to life for all living being. The deep thinking of Bhartiya established the concept of global village ‘Vasudhaiv kutumbakam’, concept of democracy “Munde munde matir bhinna”, concept of coexistence ‘Sarve bhawantu sukhinah’, concept of cooperation, ‘Sah viryam karvavahe’, concept of sustainable development, ‘Tain tyakten bhungjitha’, concept of supremacy of truth ‘Satyamev jayate’, concept of peace not only for human but for whole universe, ‘Antariksha Shanti, ausadhayo shanti’ and many many more great ideas for humanity. The Bharat is land of great sages who enlightened the path of mankind not only in Bharat but all over the globe. Bharat is the origin of great religions of world and also influenced the ideology of other religions. It is time to think that why Bharat has lost its glorious past. The root cause of the diminution is the long period of slavery that adversely affected our inherent intellect, social order and harmony and pushed the society in darkness of ignorance.

Inspite of being invaded many times and ruled by foreigners, ripped off its wealthy glory, faced the partition and even after several problems, standing firmly and rising high and high is the nation ‘Bharat’. We have great achievements after getting our independence. It is the largest democracy as well as world’s largest and oldest continuous civilization. Despite vast diversity in Bharat, it always stood single and consolidated as one nation with high spirit and patriotic feeling. Science and Technology have always been an integral part of Indian culture. Bharat is one of the four largest military powers in the world today with nuclear power capabilities. Science and Technology of Bharat is growing with a pace as is evident from various space programs including Lunar and Mars mission, GSLV-MK-III, PSLV by lifting off 104 satellites together, and is on way to commercially launch satellites of developed nations at very low cost. Indian software skill and industry has proven intellectual power all over the world. Today Bharat is fastest growing economy and has self sufficiency in food production and export of various food grains with the launch of “Make in India” the country is growing as self-reliant in manufacture and production of many indigenous goods/scientific equipments. The globe is feeling the upsurge of Bharat again. It is the time to think who we are and what we are. The society must be aware of its continual intellect and cultural treasure to work hard to rejuvenate the glorious past. It is the time to reconsider and resurge the idea behind the Bhartiya philosophy, its real strength and identity and enthuse one and all borne on Bharat bhoomi with “Utho Singh Putron” for rejuvenating Bharat. This vibrant conference will provide an opportunity to discuss thoroughly the various aspects of glorious past and present upsurge of Bharat to rejuvenate the society.
